Who is The Cosmic Cobbler
My name is Scott Davis. I started climbing in 2015 and my first real outdoor climbing experience was on the 2000+ft. Walls of El Potrero Chico in Mexico and I was immediately hooked. From there I made a pretty speedy transition from casual local climber to living in a van and traveling and climbing full time. My adventures have taken me up the west coast granite in the spring, through California to Washington and Squamish in the summers, down to the Utah deserts in the fall and Mexico in the winter for the last 3 years. In November 2019 I got to be a part of a trip to South Korea for my friend Angela’s, Live Your Dream grant, adventure. This entailed some incredible multi-pitch trad climbing on big granite domes. Style wise, I practice lots of disciples in rock climbing. From traditional climbing on granite, basalt, volcanic and sandstone to sport climbing on limestone, granite, tuff, and steep caves on tufas and stalactites. Through these experiences I learned that the outdoor life makes me happy and that the climbing community is my tribe. I was trained in the art of resoling a few years ago from the chupacobbler in Mexico who was trained by the great masters that developed the walls of El Potrero Chico.
